The last of the September birthday's finally arrived yesterday. Jacob was able to celebrate this birthday (9 years old) with his cousins Saturday, so yesterday's celebration was pretty low key. Where's the cake you might ask? Well, we've had so much cake lately and he had cupcakes at school that we decided to sing him Happy Birthday with a candle in his favorite food, pepperoni rolls aka, boomerangs. He received a Star Wars Lego set, his obsession, and his sisters gave him a webkinz. He will have a few friends spend the night on Saturday to help finish the b-day celebrations.
Thanks to all who have called to check on how he is doing. He was in the hospital last Wednesday and Thursday for a treatment. He was given a different one than last time and luckily there was no allergic reaction and the side effects were minimal. We are still trying to figure out long term what this means as far as treatments and frequency, but we are staying optimistic. The people at Dell Children's Hospital are awesome and Jacob likes it there because they have Lego Mindstorms that he can play with. He seems to be doing pretty well with all of this, the hardest part is "the needle". Your prayers and support have meant so much and we all truly appreciate them!
