Last Saturday was the annual Blue and Gold Banquet for Boy Scouts. Jacob is now officially a Webelo! He is going into his third year of being a Boy Scout and has done a great job and is still loving it. The banquet was held in Georgetown and they had a BBQ dinner and TONS of awards. It was a bit on the long side, but everyone had a good time. Aunt Michelle, Uncle Rufo, and Grandma and Grandpa Olesen were in town and able to attend with us.
Jacob recently earned his right to carry a pocket knife to meetings by taking a safety course and learning how whittle (is that the right word?) things out of soap. That is scary and I'm not sure that I will let him carry one, but he was proud of himself! Camp outs are coming up this Spring and he is still working to earn more belt loops.
